USA Test Phone Numbers

December 8, 2019 — Due to persistent abuse the USA test phone number has been discontinued permanently and will not be returning.
The test line does cost time and money to provide, and I no longer have the time or motivation to deal with blocking abusers who seek to ruin the service for everyone else.
The Australian and New Zealand test phone numbers will stay online for the time being, but if these are abused they will also be discontinued.
Last year I announced a suite of Australian test phone numbers followed by a New Zealand test phone number a few months later.
I am pleased to announce that I have extended the test suite to North America.
By dialing Removed due to abuse you can access the following tests:
- Caller ID read back
- DTMF test
- Echo Test
- Milliwatt test tone ;and
- Music on Hold
The system that your call will be routed to is hosted in Sydney so there may be a little bit of extra latency on the echo test.

All calls are logged into a database, but this is only because all calls in and out of the system are logged. The call logs may be used to generate aggregated statistics and monitor for abuse but will not be used for any other purpose.
